  • How much does a concrete project cost in Eau Claire?

That’s a great question—and honestly, it depends on the size of your project and what kind of finish you’re looking for.  If you're going with stamped or colored concrete, it’ll be a little more. We always offer free estimates so you can see exactly what your project will cost, with no surprises. I’ll walk you through the details so you understand what you're paying for and why.

  • How long does a concrete installation take, and when can I use it?

Most concrete jobs don’t take as long as people think. For something like a driveway or patio, we usually finish the prep and pour in a day or two, weather depending. You can walk on it in about 24 to 48 hours, and drive on it after a week or so. We like to give it 7 to 10 days before parking on it just to be safe. We’ll always let you know exactly when it’s good to go.

  • How long will my concrete last?

If it’s done right—and we make sure it is—it should last a good 30 to 40 years, sometimes even longer. Around here, the freeze-thaw cycles and winter salt can wear it down over time, but with proper installation and a little maintenance, you’ll get decades of solid use. We’ve poured concrete for folks in Eau Claire years ago and it's still holding strong today.

  • Will my concrete crack?

All concrete is going to crack at some point—it’s just how the material works with the changing temperatures and soil movement. But the key is managing those cracks. That’s why we install control joints, use proper reinforcement, and follow the right prep process so any cracks that do happen are small and controlled. It’s nothing to worry about when it’s installed correctly, and we stand behind our work.

  • Does concrete need maintenance or sealing?

It’s not high-maintenance, but sealing it definitely helps, especially here in Wisconsin. A good sealer will keep water, salt, and ice from getting into the surface and causing damage. I recommend sealing every few years, especially for driveways and patios. Also, avoid using harsh de-icers in the winter—those can eat away at the surface. Keeping it clean and sealed goes a long way in making your concrete last longer.

  • Can you pour concrete in the winter?

If it’s below zero and the ground’s frozen solid, we may recommend waiting a bit.
